Packing is an essential element for a successful removal. Unfortunately some people overlook the importance of packing and this can lead to some problems.

When it comes to packaging Australia, there is a decision that needs to be made; will you pack your personal effects yourself or will you pay to have a packing or ask a removal company to pack your things for you?

The easiest way is of course to have your goods packed by a removal company, meaning you don’t have to worry about providing materials or labour for what can be an arduous and time consuming task.

  • Pack cartons tightly and to the top, using scrunched up paper as your top layer
  • Tape cardboard boxes properly with packing tape
  • Resist the urge to over pack cartons
  • Wrap all fragile items carefully in paper (newspaper is fine)
  • Avoid putting fragile items at the top of a carton
